CBD is short for cannabidiol, it is one of many cannabinoids or molecules found in the hemp and the marijuana plants. Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it doesn’t have a strong effect on cognitive brain activity and doesn’t cause the “high” associated with marijuana. CBD specifically comes from the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant. (Not to be confused with oil that comes from hemp seeds, which contain no cannabinoids.) CBD and THC are two of the most common cannabinoids in the plant out of the hundreds of other cannabinoids.

CBD can be extracted from the hemp or the marijuana plants. The CBD used in our products is extracted from the industrial hemp plant, which naturally contains high levels of CBD and very low levels of the psychoactive THC.

We use a broad spectrum CBD in our products which comes from extracting the oil from the whole hemp plant (stock and leaves), then it goes through a refinement process to remove all THC compounds.

The human body has a vast network of receptors, called the endocannabinoid system, which helps us maintain overall wellness and keep many of our physical processes moving in the right direction. CBD is meant to help this system function with higher efficiency, helping the body in its efforts to keep us in good health.

CBD has not been approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to treat or cure anxiety.

Our co-founder Gary was introduced to broad spectrum CBD to help alleviate symptoms of anxiety, this is one of the many reasons we created Topikal. His results do not reflect the results everyone may receive due to the many differences from person to person. We ensure our products contain 0% THC to avoid potential negative effects toward anxiety.

Our brains and bodies have specific receptors designed to accept cannabinoids, known as CB1 and CB2. These receptors are responsible for the assimilation of cannabinoid molecules into your system, resulting in the immune responses correlated with CBD consumption.

This really depends on what type of CBD you are using. We use a broad spectrum CBD in our products which means they contain 0% THC, but we caution customers that any consumption of CBD products may show up on a drug test.

The effects of CBD can vary person to person. Many of our customers use CBD to promote better sleep but CBD has not been approved by the FDA(Food and Drug Administration) to help with sleep.

This varies person to person depending on the condition you are using CBD for. If you are seeking relief for a more localized condition you may want to apply our Pain Cream or Emu Salve on the affected area. If you are seeking full body relief, the most common way to apply CBD is by sublingual oil

All of our products go through two separate lab tests, one in house and one in a third party testing laboratory. We test to make sure Topikal products are of the highest quality, free of heavy metals and harsh pesticides. Each batch is tested to confirm the correct amount of CBD per product and to ensure 0% THC content.
